Eastern Shore NEWS
The county’s new recycling drop off station at 20609 Bishop Road is now scheduled to open in May. The usual materials as well as hard-to-recycle ones (ie. paints, pesticides, etc) may be dropped off there when it opens up. The cities will continue the usual curbside pick-up service too.
In case you hadn’t heard—Market by the Bay is back in Fairhope! This longtime local favorite has reopened its doors downtown, bringing all the fresh seafood and Southern favorites we’ve been missing. Whether you’re craving a classic po’boy, gumbo, or their famous fried shrimp, it’s definitely worth a stop. It’s always good news when a hometown staple makes its return!
And just a quick mention—Scooter’s Coffee recently opened in Daphne! If you haven’t swung by yet, it’s a great new spot to grab a coffee on the go. Always fun to see something fresh pop up in town!
Absolutely! Here’s a quick scoop-style blurb for you:
In case you missed it—Fairhope Public Utilities was recently recognized on a national level for their incredible work helping restore power after major hurricanes in Florida. Our hometown crew stepped up in a big way, showing what community support looks like beyond our own backyard. Just another reason to be proud to call Fairhope home!
Eastern Shore REAL ESTATE
As we move through the season, the Eastern Shore of Alabama real estate market continues to reflect a steady and balanced rhythm. Over the past 30 days, we’ve seen a healthy number of homes sold, with average days on market gradually increasing, reminding us that thoughtful pricing and preparation are more important than ever. Inventory levels are holding, giving buyers a bit more to choose from, while sellers are still benefiting from strong demand—especially in well-loved areas like Fairhope, Daphne, and Spanish Fort. With a noticeable rise in pending contracts, it’s clear that serious buyers are still very much in the market, even as some price adjustments signal a return to a more normalized pace. Overall, the Eastern Shore remains a highly desirable place to call home, where the right strategy, timing, and presentation can make all the difference in today’s evolving landscape.
