🎉 New Coffee & Tacos Spot in Spanish Fort? Word is a local favorite is planning a second location just off 181. Know anything? Hit reply—we love being the first to share it!
🍦 Just Chillin’ & Foosackly’s Coming Soon to 181 & 104
Construction is active near the new Wawa in Fairhope, where Foosackly’s and Just Chillin’ Ice Cream are set to open. Signage is up and drive-thrus are being paved. Locals are already planning first-day orders.
🎓 Fairhope High Students Chosen for Alabama Boys State
A big shoutout to Tristan Myrick, Rankin Williams, and Marlin Hardwich, who will represent Fairhope at the 2025 Alabama Boys State leadership program this summer at the University of Alabama. These young leaders are already making us proud!
🍽️ Sunset Pointe Expanding Outdoor Dining Area
Fairhope’s waterfront favorite at Fly Creek Marina is adding a new covered patio and live music space. Construction is underway, and the expanded area is expected to open by Memorial Day weekend.
🚧 Traffic Improvements Coming to Daphne
At the intersection of Whispering Pines and Pollard Road, the city will be adding a new turn lane, improved signage, and pedestrian safety upgrades. Work begins mid-April and should wrap by summer.
🛍️ New Retail at Eastern Shore Centre
Two new businesses are under construction: a home décor store and a boutique wine bar are joining the lineup next to the Belk Home store. Don’t miss the center’s Spring Market Pop-Up on April 13.
🏗️ Fairhope Publix Getting a Spring Remodel
The Greeno Road Publix is getting a refresh with updated signage, interior layout changes, and improved curbside pickup lanes. The store will remain open during construction through May.
🎨 New Public Sculpture Coming to Fairhope Pier Park
The Fairhope Public Arts Committee approved a new permanent sculpture honoring local wildlife and coastal life. Look for installation in April near the walking trail.
🛝 Trione Park in Daphne Set for Major Upgrades
The city has approved improvements to Al Trione Sports Complex, including a new inclusive playground, shaded picnic tables, and updated restrooms. Construction is expected to start early this summer.
📚 Fairhope Library Extending Hours
Starting April 1, the Fairhope Public Library will stay open until 8:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, giving more access to working families and students.
🚲 Spanish Fort Bike Trail Expansion in the Works
The city is planning Phase 2 of its bike and pedestrian trail, extending the path west of Meaher State Park. A community input session will be held in early April.
